Putting the Quail Back in Your Quail Hunting! |
| The 2003-04 native quail season was the best in many years - some say ‘92, some say ‘87. I hope you all were able to take advantage of some of the 30-40 covey flushes a day many hunters experienced this year. I am happy to say the native quail abundance did not effect our business and we were sold out by mid-February. We are looking forward to a strong demand in ‘04-05; however, feed prices have gone up 50% since June of ‘03 and the outlook is for prices to continue to increase. If they do, we plan on not increasing our base prices for birds but only tacking on a feed increase pass-thru for each bird. This fee pass-thru will end as soon as feed prices steady or decline. This spring turkey season should also be bountiful. Good luck! The game bird growers determine how many birds to raise by the number of pre-bookings they have. Pre-booking assures you of availability of birds. It’s hard to book hunts when you have no birds. Be assured that we not only have “wild” flight conditioned “Bobs,” but we also strive to provide our customers with excellent service. We are in business to serve our clients, but to be able to serve you properly, we need to know now how many birds you need and approximately when. We are in the business to serve our customers and it hurts us to have to tell customers that we can’t help them. If your bookings don’t materialize, or if you have enough wild birds to assure good hunting, with proper notice we usually have always been able to get the birds placed elsewhere, relieving you of your obligation and entitling you to a refund of your deposit. Pre-booking is as important to the 100-bird purchaser as it is to the 10,000 bird purchaser. All our orders are guaranteed to meet the customer’s standards. If our customer is unhappy with the birds at the time of delivery or pickup, Texas Hill Country Quail Farm will keep the birds and refund the customer’s deposit. Delivery is available on orders of 300 birds or more for the cost of gasoline within 300 miles of the Farm. Deliveries of less than 300 birds can be arranged on a per-case basis. Deliveries are scheduled on a first-come, first-delivered basis. The balance due on your birds will be due at the time of delivery or pickup at the Farm. |
